HOW WE WORK

We connect diverse expertise and experiences, acknowledging the interconnected nature of the global challenges we collectively face. We prioritize methodologies that involve participatory leadership, collaborative working methods and the emergence of collective intelligence. We place value on exploration and innovation, inlcuding in our structures and processes. We are committed to ways of working that include, highlight and amplify the work of underrepresented actors, particularly in the Global South. We believe that personal transformation and systems change are interconnected and we strive to catalyze positive action on both the individual, group and systemic levels.

Areas of Expertise

  • INTERNATIONAL LAW

We specialize in public international law with a strong focus on international humanitarian law and international human rights law. Leveraging extensive experience garnered from collaborations with international and civil society organizations, as well as governmental authorities, we are well-equipped to provide a range of research and other services in these areas.

We actively engage with contemporary and emerging topics in international law, such as the rights of nature, reparations for colonial crimes, and the regulation of emerging technologies. Committed to staying at the forefront of legal developments, we collaborate with a range of stakeholders to shape and strengthen the international legal landscape for a most just and equitable world.

  • DISARMAMENT

We possess extensive experience in arms control and disarmament issues from a variety of perspectives. Our team has experience supporting several “humanitarian disarmament” initiatives, including those focusing on landmines and cluster munitions.

We are committed to expanding the discourse on disarmament by linking it with conversations in other critical areas such as public health, child welfare, development, and reduction of climate emissions. By broadening the scope of the disarmament community to involve a broader array of actors, we hope to amplify the impact made by separate stakeholders, and to accelerate progress on disarmament and related fronts.

  • PEACE AND RECONCILIATION

We firmly believe that achieving peace and reconciliation on a macro scale begins when these values are inculcated as practices at the individual level. Our approach is grounded in the principle that mindfulness and psychoeducation can serve as powerful catalysts for cultivating peace and reconciliation within individuals, which in turn forms the foundation for peacework within larger groups and collectives.

Dedicated to cultivating a culture of peace and reconciliation, we prioritize fostering understanding, empathy and dialogue. By nurturing these principles at the individual and collective levels, we aim to contribute to sustainable peacebuilding efforts, and alleviate the suffering caused by war, hatred and division.
